International police college(ipc)was founded in 2001 with its international head office in winnipeg, manitoba, canada. International police college is non-political and confines its instruction to areas dealing with criminal law enforcement and safety of the general public.Ipc was originally created as an overseas branch of northwest law enforcement academy of winnipeg, manitoba but is now a separate entity, however, northwest lea is ipc's home base.In april 2002, the 1st world security top forum was held in shanghai, and ipc was the only canadian organization invited to attend.The original focus of training by ipc is in four areas:1) highly specialized subjects, i. E. Geographic profiling, forensic geology, forensic identification, computer crime, commercial crime, hostage negotiations, etc.2) upgrading police officers to meet current educational standards.3) security training.4) private investigator training.
